Call for Collaboration: Designing the Hospital of the Future

ARC and Sheba are investing 1 billion dollars to build Sheba Negev the hospital of the future. We are seeking innovative solutions to revolutionize every corner of traditional hospital healthcare.

Challenge #1 is focused on leveraging robotics and automation to transform the following aspects of hospital care:

  • Addressing nursing shortage and burnout: Implementing systems to securely deliver medication directly to patients based on electronic healthcare orders, automating the measurement of vital signs, and replacing nursing EHR documentation and Tele-ICU.
  • Reducing physician workload: Developing automation solutions for scribing, taking patient notes, and drafting discharge letters.
  • Reducing operations room workload: Introducing robotics to replace surgical techs, automating repetitive missions, and of course robotic-assisted surgery –
  • Logistics: Revolutionizing hospital logistics by replacing pneumatic tube systems with transformative lab transfer systems, automating food services, rethinking laundry, and shortening supply chains.

Overall, we seek to free up our doctors and nurses from administrative and repetitive missions to care for the patients, improve safety and outcomes, increase efficiency, and streamline operations.

We are particularly interested in robotics solutions from other fields that can be implemented in healthcare.

Relevant companies will be invited to meet with Dr. Avi Tsur, ARC CMO, and a transdisciplinary team from ARC & Sheba to discuss the opportunity in detail.
